Making An Item Hack

For those of you who want to make your own item code. (Region-Free)

Write Char Offset: [NTSC-U]

Write Char Offset: [PAL]

Place that code at the top of your item hack, no matter what. Without it, the game will not find the required offset to run the item code. Next part is simple, making the actual code.

XXXX = Controller Address

YYYY = FFFF - ZZZZ (use a hex calculator unless you can do the math in your head)

ZZZZ = Button activator (NOTE: when doing this, make sure that the activators are in hex order from least to greatest [i.e., 0001, 0002, 0004, 0008, etc. ] or the code will not work)

W values = Item values, listed below:
00 = Green Shell
01 = Red Shell
02 = Banana
03 = Fake Item Box
04 = Mushroom
05 = Triple Mushroom
06 = Bob-omb
07 = Blue Shell
08 = Lightning
09 = Star
0A = Golden Mushroom
0B = Mega Mushroom
0C = Blooper
0D = POW Block
0E = Cloud
0F = Bullet Bill
10 = Triple Green Shell
11 = Triple Red Shell
12 = Triple Banana
14 = Nothing

V values = Amount of each item

0 = Nothing
1 = All Single Items
3 = All Triple Items (NOTE: You cannot use this to make a triple bombs code, if you try it this way, you will freeze. You can use triple items and put a "1", however, you cannot use a single item and put "3". Putting a "1" for a triple item will simply make 1 green shell instead of 3 rotate around your kart/bike)

Copy and paste that part for each individual item you want, and as soon as you are done, put the perfect item deactivator (in another section in the forum) at the bottom of the code and you are done! Ask any questions below. :3
