I could reccomend Proboards as the base??

reason I suggest is well...
I'm a proboards user, and they have alot more features to offer...
(of course it's free)

(I'm trying not to push the security log back by too much)

if you want me to tell you some of the advanced features compaired to forumotion, I can do that too

Thanks! I really appreciate the suggestion. I think we're going to just stay with forumotion for now though. I did create a proboards forum to test the features and such, and I really like them, I'm just not used to how to use the admin panel to its full potential as I do with the freeforums and forumotion admin panel. Again, thanks a ton for the suggestion! Always open to suggestions.

yeh, the admin panel isn't all that glamourous, and a bit cluttered (almost asking for user error)

it won't stay that way though... heh
PB is undergoing constant updates and such

if you need any help understanding something, ask me

some of my favorite features are:
- the plugin system which can add features to the forum (not sure if this place has them)
- private convos instead of the original PMs (though unlike Xenforo, you can't edit)

I'm gonna make a request for a plugin that can reverse the sort order of the posts.
(I prefer the newest post at the top of the first page so I don't have to scroll or update my favs)

anyways, yea, play around with it

Lol, yeah. I'll definitely toy around with it. It seems really interesting, but it's just so cluttered for me, and I'm not really used to it, which isn't a good idea since we're going to be switching the old forum over here today. But I'll definitely try to adapt to it and see what I can do. If I get used to it and like it, I'll definitely consider switching over there.

it's nothing really
just the thread's post container not expanding (not in compat mode)
there's more ugliness in compat mode...

you can just shove this down on the very bottom of your list XD(make an attempt when you can)

there's many places that have a problem with IE8,
but I don't dare use IE9 or Chrome as they have the lowest security.
FF at least has some security, but it's slow as heck.

I don't use virus software (other than the MalwareBytes scanner)
so I need security over visuals, though it is nice for what IS supported.
(IE8 actually supports quite alot, and can be made to simulate the features of HTML5)

I'm a pro graphicsmith. Check out the logo on my forum, I made it in 5 minutes.
I recommend using a forum that supports html code, so you can put tons of stuff into it.
