I hate to be rude because I know people don't live on the forums 24/7, but is this forum section even used? The whole super smash bros section altogether? It seems like a waste if it's not. If we don't get more people to post in it, I'm afraid we may have to remove it. Sad

Post on it guys. Super Smash Bros Brawl deserves to stay. We need more peoole in here, and we can't just have Mario Kart Wii.

Well, I have SSBB, I'd play sometimes. But I don't really hack SSBB because Wifi matches is very laggy. So, I hate it will happen. :l

I can't really play Brawl w/o hax Razz

(I can, but it's boring)

but I keep it wifi legit, excluding the extended costumes that would break wifi.
(I have cBliss, so I have 10 costumes for every character)

Lawl xD I would like to slap you if you do. But I'm just kidding. Lol, I'd just say something when I remember. So, I met random people in wifi legit matches, it always horrible lag, but it's not any problem with my router because it's good connection. However, I've been play hacks SSBB in one day (which is in a year ago). But then, it made me bored already. Looool

talk to Diddy Kong over at kc-mm for info about your router...
he knows more about ping quality than I do... heh

but that aside, europe to america connection is horribly laggy...
even with good connection... heh

it's best if you brawl with friends who are near you as there's quite alot less lag. Wink

I won't say it's perfect though as there is a bit of lag...
but it's only about as bad as running a game at 50 FPS,
so it's nothing that'll screw you over too much Smile

and lol, I have a tactic to keep that from happening Razz

but in my defense there, I love RP, so I make hacks I RP as and play as them.
the only other thing that keeps me from getting bored is how epic the hacks have made the experience.
(even if they're just texture and model hacks)

now imagine that with epic music such as "Zomboy - Dirty Disco" or "Kelsat Trainer Music"

and the AI also learns from you.
though it takes a while to actually take affect...
that White Pika (a texture of Pachirisu) at lvl9,
you have to be extremely decent to be able to beat your first time.

speaking of Pachirisu, he's another hack I'm working on for Pika:

Nice. A lot has happend ever since I was gone for a bit. Anyways, since I'm managing this part of the section, I encourage all of you to post things, since I did a very good job of posting many things on here. I will leave space open for you guys also.

I don't play SSBB Online because of the Extreme Lag.

I'm not sure if other people have this type of lag but it's almost like 1/3 Speed sometimes, even matrix.

P.S I don't hack in SSBB, yet.

I use CFG USB Loader which loads hacks Gecko-style
yes, it requires a hacked wii with CIOS249 and the Brawl ISO on your USB.

also, you prbly have a good modem and are brawling with near-by friends on your wifi.
try brawling someone on the other side of the world XDD

My Wii doesn't read discs either.
I have never gotten into Brawl.
That probaly means I can't play CTGP 1.03, unless... I HAX!

I remember my old Wii can't read Brawl disc. Then my parent buy me another Wii but I didn't know the Wii can read Wii games from a USB/HHD using some sort of USB Loader. X_X

well, for what I know, there's 3 USB loaders:
- CFG USB Loader
- USB Loader GX
- WiiFlow

CFG has the most support for Wii and GCN games (through DIOS MIOS)
and has quite a nifty GUI with updatable content
(update from inside CFG, no compy needed)

GX is the most popular, but not as much support or eye candy as CFG
(not sure if it supports GCN)

WiiFlow I've heard alot of good things about, but it's very basic...
I havn't used it much to know alot about it...

when installing CIOS249 and DIOS MIOS,
make sure you use Multi-Mod Manager (MMM),
s it's newer and less likely to brick your wii.
(it's a replacement for DOP-MII, Truscha Bug Restorer and WadMgr)

if you run into any problems,
a simple google search should be able to help with anything here Wink

USB Loader GX - Another USB Loader. Not as much eye candy or internet automation with this one. One of the first usb loaders around though.

I still don't get why everyone uses GX over CFG >.>

I enjoy using Riivolution! I use it to load textures and codes but sometimes I get blackscreen with Riivolution for some reason. I heard that you can run infinite codes on Riivolution, not sure if it's true. Surprised

riivo is fun :3
you're not forced to a 2GB SD or a GCT.

not sure about infinite though but you can definitely use alot more.

and yea, is it when you're starting riivo from the HBC or wii menu??
if so, you may need a new SD.
sometimes defragmenting helps though <.<

EDIT:
oh yea, and you're not subject to static hacks.
(hacks that don't get patched)
^these hacks are things like main.dol and other things required for the game's runtime.

this is what rates Riivo a +1 over Gecko

but of course the builders of common USB loaders didn't seem to consider wiis that couldn't read disks.
they only allow you cheat codes which gives you Gecko's method for file patching.
we need one that can patch a game rather than use cheats on it.

is there any way to not use the RTE by default??
