[info] Resizing images with Picasa
anyone ever wondered how I seem to have no trouble with posting multiple images of the same image with different dimentions??
well I use Picasa Web Albums.
with it, you can resize and crop an image simply by editing the link to it, as such:
original image: (resized by 50%)
^ if you can't see this, the link is https
here I'll show you how to make it http:
the link:
conversion:
result:
the image:
now that we've made our image publicly viewable, here's how to resize:
resize to 100px (whatever dimention is larger):
resize the width to 100px:
resize the height to 100px:
so resizing is nice an all, but what about cropping?
let me show you how to do that: (note: it doesn't like the w/h attributes)
the "-c" cropps the original image square first (with some advanced face tracking)
THEN the resize is applied.
so that's all I have to show for now
(that's all I know about) XDD
I'll update this post if I figure out anything new

yeh... it just sux that the links are UNGODLY long.
and I was stuck having to use a wii for 4 years to type it all in XD
(in which 'l' looks exactly the same as 'I' with a 1px space difference)
^ no copy/paste

Re: [info] Resizing images with Picasa
You can always just replace the link with a word. For example, this is a link to the forum. Let me know if you want to know how (if you don't know how to already!)
Re: [info] Resizing images with Picasa
lol zach
I'm a member of, at the very least, 22 forums (co-admin of about 5) and have been posting since before VGLan died
(that was yeaars ago)
of course I would know a few BBC tricks
that aside, I already did it with images in my other posts, and "Picasa Web Albums" at the top here
so yah :3
